Job Description

Houston High School is accepting applications for a High School Business Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must have or be able to obtain Missouri certification for Secondary Business Education. 

Pay/Stipend/Benefits

Salary stipend is contingent on years of experience. Currently, using the State of Missouri's Teacher Baseline Salary Grant, the starting pay would be $38,000. The Houston R-1 School District offers a fully paid health insurance plan (with full-time teaching position) along with additional benefits.  Houston R-I School District allows an employee to bring in ALL years of service and participates in Career Ladder.

Houston School, home of the Tigers, is located in Texas County Missouri and sits within the heart of the Ozarks in South Central Missouri. The school is part of the South Central Association Conference along with seven other schools. Excellent community support is evident in the recent passage of a bond issue which allowed for the construction of a 6.5 million dollar gymnasium complex.
